We are reserved to accept changes, we are reserved to accept new things, we are reserved to any possible interfernace.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7590025.post-16991444229625173892008-05-28T17:42:00.000+03:002008-05-28T17:42:00.000+03:00Reading all of these comments, which are from comp...Reading all of these comments, which are from computer-literate internet users, not the lumpenproles, I begin to see that the debate really isn’t about gay people.

Right Juris, I already told this 3 years ago - problem is not gays per se, problem is that we are not able to tolerate people that are different from us, we are xenophopic. Let's say that we invented some kind of fascism ideology - we are normal, others are not. We don't like others, we are afraid that others might come and destroy our country, city, village, whatever.

You have lived in Sweden and USA, you probably remember how many people with all kind of disabilities live there, you can see them on the streets, in the shops, everywhere. And now please tell - how many of them you see in Latvia? Almost none. They are not going out, first of all - our environment is not suitable for these people, but main problem - we tend to look at them like they are animals, we give them warning signals - please do not come out and do not show your disability on the streets, I don't want my child to see you, he/she is supposed to see only good and happy things, not you - cripple. You see the similarities, it does not matter- gay, black, disabled, we don't like you, we don't want to see you, go back to your house and don't come out ever again.

And you can only guess who will be next group who will get above said words - old people? Sure, some of them are ugly. People with red hair? Why not? And there might come a day when you or me will fail to prove "normality" and you or me will be punished. That is actually scaring.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7590025.post-38472952685394233102008-05-28T17:41:00.000+03:002008-05-28T17:41:00.000+03:00Reading all of these comments, which are from comp...Reading all of these comments, which are from computer-literate internet users, not the lumpenproles, I begin to see that the debate really isn’t about gay people.

Right Juris, I already told this 3 years ago - problem is not gays per se, problem is that we are not able to tolerate people that are different from us, we are xenophopic.
